Joke of the Day
Once upon a time in a nice little forest, there lived an orphaned bunny and an orphaned snake. By surprising coincidence both were blind from birth.
One day the bunny was hopping through the forest and the snake was slithering through the forest, when the bunny tripped over the snake and fell down. This of course knocked the snake about quite a bit.
'Oh, my,' said the bunny, 'I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I've been blind since birth, so I can't see where I'm going. In fact since I'm also an orphan I don't even know what I am.'
'It's quite OK,' replied the snake. 'Actually, my story is much the same as yours. , too have been blind since birth, and also never knew my mother. Tell you what, maybe I could slither all over you and work out what you are, so at least you'll have that going for you.'
'Oh, that would be wonderful,' replied the bunny. So the snake slithered all over the bunny, and said, 'Well, you're covered with soft fur, you have really long ears, your nose twitches and you have a soft cottony tail. I'd say that you must be a bunny rabbit.'
'Oh, thank you! Thank you,' cried the bunny in excitement.
The bunny suggested to the snake, 'Maybe I could feel you all over with my paw and help you the same way you've helped me.' So the bunny felt the snake all over, and remarked, 'Well, you're scaly and smooth, and you have a forked tongue, no backbone and no balls. I'd say you must be either an accountant, or possibly someone in senior management.'
Harry Potter - Sassy Cute Emma Watson interviewed on David Letterman Video
Hasn't Emma Watson grown into a sassy young woman? Watson gives as good as she gets from Letterman in this interview before the Half Blood Prince opens in cinemas.
Id be surprised if Watson isn't the biggest long term star to emerge from the Harry Potter movie series. Talented, funny, smart and very cute.
Video - Newcastle's Greater Building Society Scores Jerry Seinfeld for Advertising Commercial
This is quite a coup. Perhaps the world's best known comedian has been contracted to do a commercial for Newcastle's Greater Building Society. This puts them in the same company as Microsoft and American Express - the only other adverts Seinfeld has done in his career. The ads will air around Newcastle and Gold Coast regions.
Management at the Building society decided to pitch the idea to Seinfeld, thinking they had nothing to lose. Indeed. Apparently Seinfeld was happy to do the ad, and also helped write the script. The commercial was filmed in New York at a makeshift branch. It is not disclosed how much Seinfeld was paid to do the ad, but it is likely in the millions.
Sam Newman Questioned by Police over Road Rage Incident in Armstrong Street, Middle Park
Will this be the Media's latest attempt to stitch up Sam Newman? They do love a good Newman story. Granted, sometimes he pushes the boundaries. But that's who he is. And there isn't any doubt in my mind that Newman is one of the most intelligent people on TV today.
Apparently Newman has been questioned by police after an incident that occurred in Armstrong Street, Middle Park.
No further details are yet available, but be sure to stand by - you wont hear the end of this one soon - that's for sure. Id suggest this might just find its way on to the front cover of Saturday's papers.

Flowers and Tributes to Four Teenager Car Accident Deaths lead to Fatal Car Crash
Police are saying that the massive amount of flowers and tributes to teenagers at a Lynbrook intersection have caused the death of a 21 year old woman from Wantirna.
The woman collided with a truck at the intersection of Ormond and Hallam Roads Lynbrook at about 6.30am. Four teenagers died at the exact same spot just 2 weeks ago.
Acting Inspector Smith of Victoria Police said the following: "We suspect that the amount of tributes and everything that have been put up at the intersection has distracted the deceased driver and she's pulled into the path of the truck."
The tributes were excessive according to police and they obscured signs and distracted drivers. They included flowers, boards, messages, letters, signs and photos. Police moved quickly to remove the tributes after the latest accident. Good.
But in a sign of how stupid some of these locals are, they started laying more tributes just 90 minutes after police removed them. Are they really so inconsiderate? Someone just died because of you.
I think tributes like these should be banned. A cemetery is much more appropriate. What do you think?
About YG News
Thats not to say that we shouldnt help those who cant help themselves. I have a firm belief in giving a helping hand up to those who genuinely need it. (please give generously to my linked charities)
I call myself a realist and i want to tell it like it is. Somebody has to speak the truth. Because seriously, what a selfish bunch of insular tools we have become in today's dreamy Australia.
Maybe we arent so different to the rest of the world. And maybe it was always this way.
Anyway, until things change, i remain young and grumpy.
