I cant say that i have any statistical data to back up my statement that Camry drivers are the worst on our roads. Its kind of like my belief that South Australia has the largest collection of stupid people in our country.
No real data, just my own personal observations. And because i am assured of my own observational abilities, I'm actually sure that I'm right. Maybe I'm just a little arrogant too.
But Toyota Camry drivers are bad. Really bad. Maybe not all of them, but on the whole, they just don't have any idea of the road rules, or any consideration that there may be other vehicles out there other than their own.
Its disturbing to watch, and very dangerous. Changing lanes without indicating, veering into other lanes, creeping into traffic, driving slow, running red lights and even turning on red arrows.
Id like it if someone could explain to me why this is the case. Is it the fact that 50% of all Camry drivers have tissue boxes on their back dashboard? Or is it that Camry's are purchased by people who just want the reliability of a Japanese car.
I know what both those statements actually mean, but I'm not going to be so bold as to suggest the reasons here.
Which is why I'm turning this over to you.
Do you believe that Camry drivers or some other brand of car are the worst on our roads? Your comments on these questions, or any other road or driver observation would be appreciated by me.
Id just like to get to the bottom of this issue.

Too right. Silver and burgundy camrys are the worst. What is with those tissue boxs anyways?
probably because they are all old and are bloody dangerous drivers that need manditory practical retesting after the age of 70.
be thankful you dont live on the bayside region of brisbane - crap loads of 70+ yr old oldies driving land cruisers and Pajeros like they are a suzuki swift. they may feel safer in a larger vehicle but i sure as hell dont feel safe on the road with them driving one!
If they want to restrict what size car a P-plater can drive than they need to be restricting the oldies too because truely they are worse!
(and no i'm not a p-plater or a lead foot - i just hate seeing ppl behind the wheel that are no longer capable of controlling the vehicle let alone the slower reaction time in an accident)
I have been a long believer that Camary drivers are special. I am sure that not all Camary are bad, but if you follow trends, they will be the cause of most accidents even if they don't actually get into them they will cause them. And it is not because my mother-in-law is a Camary owner, but she is. World's worst driver ever.
That's funny, because I drive a Camry and I think the worst drivers are those that drive BMW's and VW's - for the exact reasons you cite regarding your perception of Camry drivers. Don't get me started about Commodore drivers!
I certainly don't think I'm a great driver, but there are plenty worse than me. I think it appears that Camry drivers are bad because there are so many Camrys on the road. Also, most of them are driven by geriatrics who need new glasses.
