Text Message Lottery Scam for $123,000 from Mobile Number 856207498283.

Australia seems to be in the grip of an SMS mobile phone scam frenzy. The latest scam comes from someone suggesting that you have won $123,000. Its one step above the spam scams sent to your email address which mostly end up in a spam folder.

But there isn't a spam protection against your mobile phone. And after the lottery craze that has hit Australia after the Oz Lotto jackpot, some people may just fall for this one.

The message from the scammers is as follows:

You won $123,000 AUD. Send your email address by sms text message to 856207498283 so we can send you an email with more information on how to claim the money.

Whatever you do, don't reply.
