Chaser's War on Everything Tech Talk Love Calculator Video - GVHFTR KIJL and Teri Hatcher

I'm glad that the Chaser team have tackled the crazy scam world of mobile ringtones and downloadable applications. Ive written previously about the scams offered by the likes of Jamster and Salsamobile. They are just a couple of the scammers out there.

Keep in mind that these scams operate within the law. The ACCC are looking into this matter and have commenced legal proceedings against a couple of the rogue operators. But most of them continue to rip off Australians without any penalty.

It would be nice to see the Advertising Standards Bureau remove many of these misleading ads from out TV. But they are busy at your local sheltered workshop. I hope that some politicians were watching The Chaser team - they usually do. Satirical comedy helping to change public policy? Dont laugh - it can happen.

Thats not to say that we shouldnt help those who cant help themselves. I have a firm belief in giving a helping hand up to those who genuinely need it. (please give generously to my linked charities)

I call myself a realist and i want to tell it like it is. Somebody has to speak the truth. Because seriously, what a selfish bunch of insular tools we have become in today's dreamy Australia.

Maybe we arent so different to the rest of the world. And maybe it was always this way.
