Polly Waffle Chocolate Bar to Be Discontinued After 62 years

Sure, its not the biggest issue in the world. Buts its important to a lot of people. Polly Waffle, the chocolate wafer bar filled with marshmallow has been discontinued due to poor sales.

Nestle has said that it costs them more to produce than they recoup in sales.

Its a sad end and i guess im partly responsible. I love polly waffles, but i have to admit that i havent had one in a number of years. Of course as soon as i heard the news, i checked at the superrmaket - all sold out. Damn it. But I'll keep looking.

We can only hope that public sentiment helps Nestle change their mind. Polly Waffle is an Australian icon.

I call myself a realist and i want to tell it like it is. Somebody has to speak the truth. Because seriously, what a selfish bunch of insular tools we have become in today's dreamy Australia.

Maybe we arent so different to the rest of the world. And maybe it was always this way.
