Family First Senator Claims he Was Abused by a Scout Leader as a Child
On the day that Kevin Rudd and Malcom Turnbull will apologise to children who suffered abuse in church and state run institutions, Senator Fielding has his own admission. He was abused for many years by a scoutmaster when he was a child.
"I was sexually abused as a child by a scoutmaster for years. I have very strong emotions and feelings on this issue."
I'm not suggesting for a moment that Fielding isn't telling the truth on this issue. Who would make up such a story? Anyway, you aren't allowed to officially question someone's story when they say they were abused.
Needless to say that this is the same guy who claimed he suffered a learning disability as a child when people started calling him stupid.
So the media are almost duty bound now to seek out the very same scoutmaster who allegedly committed this abuse. That's what the media do. They will find a version of the truth.
And of course there will be responses from Scouts Australia, the Police and Fielding family members and friends who may or may not have witnessed the alleged abuse.
Lets just see how this whole issue pans out.
