Mourners Attack the Media at Mill Park Crash Victim Funeral
I'm not sure who i hate more. White trash or the tabloid media. Dang, that's a tough one. I'll reserve my judgement. I'm sure if i was at a funeral of a loved one i wouldn't want the media there to gawk. But on my list of worries, it probably wouldn't rate very highly.
But bogans will be bogans. They will be angry. And somebody else will be the recipient of their "someone else is to blame" culture.
So that's that. Now to my next question. When oh when did it become acceptable for mourners at funerals to turn up looking like strippers? One of the girls who attacked the media was wearing a skirt that would make Brittney blush and long knee high leather boots. WTF? Its a funeral love. You ain't there to pick up you know.
The more i think about it, the more i think that kids think life is just a game. A funeral is just part and parcel of it all, a social occasion if you will. Lets face it - many of these kids actually think the driver of the Mill Park car was a hero. Yeah, sometimes i think they just don't get it.
But in a few weeks, life will be back to normal, the dead will be forgotten. There wont be so many flowers and signs on the tree. And in a few days, weeks or a few months, another group of young kids will die in a car crash.
That means more funerals and more trashy black stripper outfits.
About Just Grumpy
Thats not to say that we shouldnt help those who cant help themselves. I have a firm belief in giving a helping hand up to those who genuinely need it. (please give generously to my linked charities)
I call myself a realist and i want to tell it like it is. Somebody has to speak the truth. Because seriously, what a selfish bunch of insular tools we have become in today's dreamy Australia.
Maybe we arent so different to the rest of the world. And maybe it was always this way.
Anyway, until things change, i remain young and grumpy.

i never quite got why exactly he was called a hero? sure, he saved his sister from dieing instantly, but he also did kill himself, and 4 other people, and he permantly injured her, so, if anything, he's a dick.
I thought exactly the same thing. Were they planning to go clubbing afterwards?
Can someone please inform me what happened? i was away on holiday and only heard about this a couple days ago. all ive heard is that the driver was drunk but what the hell is with them sayin he's a hero? can someone please help?

They are not calling the driver a hero, they are calling the young man who shielded his sister moments before impact, thus saving her life, a hero. But basically, the car was overloaded, the driver was .19 and doing 140kmph. He tried to overtake, hit the dirt median strip, lost control and smashed into a tree.
Ok, on other sites about this they're sayin the same thing roughly. Speed, drunk with 6 in the car. i heard about the guy who covered his sister but just a thought, its the paramedics saying that yes? if so, its more than likely that his body landed on her during the crash than before it.

Hey just wanted to say no one is a hero here...5 dead instead of 6...just proves she wasnt meant to die then....i have been in many accidents one when i was roughly 3 months old a truck slammed into my mums Toyota corolla and pretty much turned the car into a 2d object but my mum and me are still here today by shear luck....i have been in a car accident involving a tree....that was at 80kmph and i had fractured ribs the passenger seat which i was sitting in was pushed up into the roof and pretty much on top of the driver seat....and believe me it happened that fast it was like it never happened at all so i think at 140kmph there is no possible way he would of covered her before the crash....would of been thrown on her..its just a tragedy that stupidity is a human condition that is hard to change.

Anon 1:16pm - The survivor said that her brother shoved her down between his legs and shielded her. Paramedics don't have forensics training to make that kind of call.
He's not a hero, he's a killer. Drunk and dangerous, and now, thankfully, off the roads and not in a position to kill anyone else. RIP.
Wish they all would have died on the way to the funeral, they look like a bunch of hipster fagots who think high school is the most serious thing that will ever happen ever.
whats done is done get over it. dont be hating people you dont no people grieve differently dont at so immature
excuse me i know those boys
steven was the driver he didnt save the girl,

JOCKEY IS A HERO HE PUT HIMSELF OVER HIS SISTER.
you say all us "kids" are immature look ats yous posting shit on a website bagging them IMMATURITY whhat if it was your brother, cousin or family friend it would be a different story? get fucking respect for the dead boys imagine how there parents feel.. WHAT P-PLATER DOESNT OVER LOAD? and how many full licenced drivers drink and drive? what because his a p-plater he gets judged you didnt know him or THEM! to there families and friends they will always be OUR HEROS and you's should seriously get a life before you sit there bagging TEENAGE BOYS on a website!. Yeah steven was the driver but now you fuckers reconize someone you dont know has a murderer and not the guy that would of done anything for anyone, who made a mistake and now gets a bad name, to me those boys are my heros, i dont give a fuck what steven did everyones done it he just lost his life and others. R.I.P boys ALWAYS BE LOVED.
What a rant. So if a police car in pursuit had smashed into the car full of teenagers, would it have been OK because "that is just what coppers do" or "what policeman doesn't pursue"? I suspect that the blame game would have been played long and hard. You may feel unhappy that your friends have had their stupidity pointed out, but in an environment where stupidity kills more than just the stupid, you should allow others the same right to express their fear of random death, that you claim to express your love of a fatuous lifestyle.
The driver of this car was one of my best friends, who's record of speeding was no more then 2 speeding fines of combined 10km over the limit, his un registered vehicle was to be registered on the following monday because of a lack of money, his intentions wernt to drive that night, but the group of people that had been hasling him and threatening him in the past turned up to the party and ganged up on him, he got in his car and raced off, was chased and unfortunantly died, I have to express to you people that this is the type of person who would make sure his mum would be alright before he left for the day, this was a boyfriend who wouldn't even raise his voice to his girlfriend and he was a mate of mine who never doubted my mind that he is truley one of the nicest people ever.
Why do you think people squashed in the car? Most of them were threatened by these people and were scared out of their minds, a few others in the car had a lift coming not even 30 minutes after they took off, now why would they choose to cram into a car over loaded and take off??? I'll tell you why because a bunch of dickheads threatened the shit out of them, there were whitnesses and everything, there is so much to the story I could write for hours, I am not saying what he did wasn't stupid, but he made the one mistake he had never made before and that was to drive whilst he has had a drink! With all the years I have known him, he never EVER EVER sped like that and never had NOT 1 single drink before driving, that's why this has angered me,
I hope you all read this and think, maybe there was more to the story.
RIP STEVE, WILL, BEN, JOCKEY
I will never forget, and unlike what the asshole said, I will be at the tree placing flowers untill I feel I can move on, may you guys RIP! Love you forever!!!!
I'm sorry for the loss of your friends, Anonymous.
I have no doubt the driver was a lovely guy in many ways but if people at the party felt threatened why weren't the police called? What on earth would make them think they would be safer getting into a car and speeding off into the night?
Unfortunately, your friend made a terrible mistake and took some others with him. I lost a friend myself when I was that age in an accident not entirely dissimilar to the Mill Park one. It's the loss of potential that makes me sick ... kids need to realise that they are not bullet proof.
when shit happends at a party you dont call cops who are going to take 30 mins to arrive! you leave straight away! the bloke was trying to protect his mates. thats life, shit happends.
R.I.P boys!
