It has become apparent that the key litigant in the David Jones harassment case is allegedly paranoid and scared because of all the attention she is getting. We know this cos her psychologist says so. Ain't the world an unfair place when you make a serious allegation then have to face some questions over it?
I mean seriously, what normal person shouldn't get $37 million for having someone touch their bra strap? And then have their identity protected from the glare of the media? As if $37 million was a lot of money! Most people in sub Saharan Africa struggle to make ends meet on much more than that every day.
According to Ms Hyphen-Hyphen's psychologist, the seriousness of the harassment claim has been "trivialised" by the media. Yes, cos launching a bid for $37 million in compensation wasn't trivial. Please kids, don't complain when your own "publicity" and manipulation strategy comes back to bite you.
From the SMH:
Kristy Fraser-Kirk, who is suing David Jones and its former chief executive, Mark McInnes, for $37 million over alleged sexual harassment, has been so traumatised by the case that she spends most of her time inside her apartment with the blinds drawn so she cannot be photographed, a psychologist says.
In an affidavit released by the Federal Court today, clinical psychologist Louise Morrow, who has been treating the 27-year-old publicist, said Ms Fraser-Kirk has been left feeling paranoid and cannot stay in her apartment alone. She has to have friends stay with her if her partner is away.
The media attention has also had physical effects, with Ms Fraser-Kirk experiencing vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, weight loss and sleeping difficulties.
Ms Morrow said Ms Fraser-Kirk knew that she would have to go public when her claim reached court but the fact that her name and details of her case were revealed in the media compromised her reputation and undermined her integrity.
"Ms Fraser-Kirk stated that the unauthorised publication of her name and image violated her right to privacy and exposed her to public ridicule in the media, trivialising the seriousness of her matter," Ms Morrow wrote.
She said Ms Fraser-Kirk only decided to make her public statement to the media to make it clear that she would not be intimated by a major corporation.
About Just Grumpy
Thats not to say that we shouldnt help those who cant help themselves. I have a firm belief in giving a helping hand up to those who genuinely need it. (please give generously to my linked charities)
I call myself a realist and i want to tell it like it is. Somebody has to speak the truth. Because seriously, what a selfish bunch of insular tools we have become in today's dreamy Australia.
Maybe we arent so different to the rest of the world. And maybe it was always this way.
Anyway, until things change, i remain young and grumpy.

I hope this typo - 'She said Ms Fraser-Kirk only decided to make her public statement to the media to make it clear that she would not be intimated by a major corporation.' - is by the SMH and not you.
I am here after searching to build my post on the case, which I thought I was not able to publish till the court had ruled.
Her nasty face told me everything from day one.
She is a catface piece of work and I am irritated by all the Young Feminists screaming about women's rights, and how men have to have this 'issue' put in bold terms.
I pray she fails. 'PR' indeed.
LOL - well spotted. Yes thats the SMH, although i do make the odd typo myself, i wouldnt want to be intimated by a major corporation.
