Anyone ever seen this message from Australia Post parcel delivery service?
Attempted Delivery - No one in attendance.
Sounds like a fair explanation from the online tracking website of Australia Post. Only problem is, its a lie. Three times in a row now this has been the message. Three times i have been at home. Not once have they knocked on the door or a card been left to say that they have attempted delivery.
Effectively what it means is that the parcel guy happily picks up the goods first thing in the morning, goes off for the day to do his own thing, sleep probably, then come the end of the day he drops all the goods off to the local post office.
Easy for some to pick up at the PO. For others its a hassle, as they tend to operate only during business hours.
Australia Post love to advertise how cheap and easy it is to use their parcel post service. But when stuff doesn't get delivered door to door, what are you really getting for your money?

About Just Grumpy
Thats not to say that we shouldnt help those who cant help themselves. I have a firm belief in giving a helping hand up to those who genuinely need it. (please give generously to my linked charities)
I call myself a realist and i want to tell it like it is. Somebody has to speak the truth. Because seriously, what a selfish bunch of insular tools we have become in today's dreamy Australia.
Maybe we arent so different to the rest of the world. And maybe it was always this way.
Anyway, until things change, i remain young and grumpy.
